Your stock heatsink tilts under load. Two mounting points aren't enough to hold a heatsink flat against the BM1370 ASIC — and a tilted heatsink means uneven contact, hot spots, and throttled hashrate on your bitcoin miner. The El Mirage fixes this with a four-point mounting pattern (using four M3 screws) that locks flat every time, no rocking, no reseating.
The copper-plated surface pulls heat off the chip faster than bare aluminum, keeping your Bitaxe or Nerdaxe running cooler without sacrificing the fan speed headroom you need to push higher clock speeds in AxeOS
